About that DuckTales Party. . .

About that DuckTales Party. . . 0

Ok – the DuckTales party. . . .   am I the only mom whose children delight in coming up with BIZARRE birthday party themes and then refuse to change their minds? I was so thrilled when my oldest wanted a Charlie Brown Ice Skating theme party. Done and done, honey. Little skating rink rental, cake, and cute goodie bags. (Ok – I may have gone overboard with the goodie bags.) I mean, one small trip to Etsy and you have chapstick labels, little mittens, Snoopy and Woodstock crayons, tissues, Peanuts cotton candy, hot chocolate packet labels all in a little personalized bag. They were sooooo cute! I couldn’t help myself.

Tween gifting. Why is it SO freaking hard???

Tween gifting. Why is it SO freaking hard??? 0

This is how a typical conversation goes with my 12 year old and an adult trying to figure out what she might want as a gift for Christmas/Hanukkah/Birthdays, you name it:
So, what are you into lately?
Nothing.
What have you been up to?
Just hanging out in my room.
What do you like?
I dunno.
What’s your favorite movie?
Teen Titans Go.
Oh uh what’s your second favorite movie?
Teen Titans Go to the Movies.
What games do you like to play?
Sims 4.

O. M. G. What happened to my sweet little angel who liked dolls and horses and cute clothes? I mean, she still loves clothes and that’s always easy to buy for her. But she doesn’t want anything pink. It must be blue or teal, maybe green. No glitter, no sequins, no wording on it.

That perfect Easter Basket - is this year, the year?

That perfect Easter Basket - is this year, the year? 0

That perfect basket - the one with next to no candy, stuff that your kids will play with for more than two days, and contains no junk to be thrown out. Does it exist? I'm on a quest for Easter Basket awesomeness this year.
